I've seen everything about blogging from content creation to ranking on Google to profitable Adsense Arbitrage, and down to affiliate blogging.

The 5 Major Causes of Blogging Frustration

For several months, I've had bloggers approach me for guidance, mentorship and consultations.

And whenever I speak with them and investigate what their issue is, I realize they usually suffer from one of the following:

1. Low CPC

Your CPC stands for Cost-Per-Click and it is basically one of the factors that determines how profitable blogging will be for you if you're monetizing with adsense.

When you multiply your average CPC with the number of clicks you have in a month, that will reveal how much you've earned for that month.

So it goes without being said that the higher your CPC, the higher your earnings will be. The lower your CPC, the lower income you're going to get from blogging.

The problem however is that by default, most bloggers have a low CPC. To majority of the bloggers out there, their CPC is hovering around $0.03 to $0.07.

And this is an issue...because with a cpc as low as this, you would need to get around 1,500 clicks to be able to make close to $50 in a month.

This makes blogging hard and difficult for those with this problem.

2. Low CTR

CTR stands for Click-through rate. And it is a percentage of those who click on an advert or offer out of the total number of those visiting your site.

The problem however is that low CPC often works hand-in-hand with low CTR.

Now imagine having a low CTR of 3%, and you have to get 1,500 clicks in a month in order to make a measly $50 in a month, it means you'll need to generate around 50,000 visitors to your blog in one month.

This would be extremely difficult to do, especially if you're not a household name, and you're not making enough money from your blog to justify further traffic generation.

3. Low Traffic

Traffic is the lifeblood of any blogging or online business venture. It is a measure of the number of human visitors viewing the pages of your blog.

The greater the traffic you can gather to your blog, the greater your chances of multiplying your income.

However, it is easier said than done for most bloggers out there.

Knowing how to generate large amount of traffic is a major challenge for most bloggers. And even more so if the blog is requiring more effort than it is giving results.

4. Updates, Restrictions And Account Bans

Ad limits, Google updates and account restrictions are another problem most bloggers face.

These serves as speed bumps and demoralizing agents to bloggers.

With one single update, your site could be sent to page 3 of Google search results. Your traffic could take a hit with your income following immediately after.

Same applies with Ad limit, account shutdown and restrictions by some platforms that bloggers rely on for traffic.

5. Inadequate Monetization

Many bloggers I've come across rely on just one medium of monetization.

While that's not a bad thing in itself, truth is...it often rob them of potential earnings they could be making if they added another means of monetization to their blog.

Sometimes, these bloggers do not even know it is possible to have 2 or more monetization models in one blog...and as a result, fall short of the revenue their blog could be making with the same resources they have.
